All fees for service are subject to GST with a 30 day warranty on labour, 1year on parts. As Calgary chimney sweeps our quotes are in town rates: out of town rates are individually quoted and must be disclosed at time of booking.
Our quoted fee for service (upon booking) is based upon standard procedure and/or visible inspection for patent (visible) defects. It does not include thorough inspection for latent (hidden) defects.
Our minimum fee for a sweep and/or inspection is based on which category it falls into:
Gas utility flue
Dryer vent only
We also offer value added services and/or products which may be acquired at the time of booking or when servicing your chimney. We always explain the features, advantages, and benefits as well as the fees of our value added services and/or products. We will never perform any additional work without the customer’s go-ahead…or it’s free!
Additional products and services we provide:
- Additional fireplace service
- Utility flue cleaning or inspection
- Dryer vent cleaning
- Cap Installation
- Flue extensions (Metal or Ceramic)
- Spark arrester screen installation
- Animal removal (dead or alive)
- Chase cap repairs, installs, re-pointing.
- Caulking of chimneys, storm collars, tap-ins, etc.
- Lock-top Damper (Supply and Install)
This list is not exhaustive as there are many aspects to this service industry.
NOTE - ash removal is not part of any of the above services, and shall be the responsibility of the homeowner. Or, it may be considered an additional service and charged accordingly.
This is our official service list. Our charges are based on a sweep and/or inspection. If the appliance isn't Code compliant it will not be swept but will be charged as an inspection, and the same fee as was originally agreed upon at time of booking shall apply. No exceptions.
Any service ABLE SWEEPS has not been originally hired for whether on this list or not.... ie: (chimney/firebox repairs, liner installs, etc), shall be quoted before work is performed and must be mutually agreed upon before commencement. If the technician deems the service as more involved than standard procedure he/she will advise the customer of the increased fee for service beforehand and act appropriately as agreed upon.
